Crain’s New York Business Magazine published an article today (based on the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership info) that lots and lots of new residential units are being built in the neighborhood. This is something we already figured out on our map of development in the area.
“Some 14 residential properties, one 52 stories tall, are expected to be added in the area in the next two to three years. Of 4,746 planned apartments, more than 20% will be affordable.”
This means at least 10,000 more people and hundreds of children living in Downtown Brooklyn. Time to start planning for a new school.
